How to duplicate a family
Prism will duplicate the current sheet and also all linked sheets. Change the data on the new copy, and all analyses and graphs will update. Duplicating a family vs. duplicating a sheet
If you choose to duplicate a sheet, Prism will make a copy of just that selected sheet and name the new sheet "Copy of (original sheet name)." If you duplicate a graph, the copy will link to the same data table as the original. This is useful if you want to make two distinct graphs of the same data. But if you want to make two similar graphs of different data, you'll want to duplicate the family (or clone the graph). Duplicating a family vs. cloning a graph If you are viewing a graph and duplicate its family, the results will be the same as cloning the graph. The choice is a matter of convenience and style. The only difference is that the cloning dialog (but not the duplicating dialog) lets you choose a different subcolumn format, and a new name for the new data table. |
