Creating new sheets

Adding new sheets to your Prism project

Click the New button on the Sheet toolbar to drop a menu of choices:

The first choice is used the most. It adds a new data table and graph to your project.

You can also add a new Info sheet, a new graph of an existing data table, or a new layout. To be complete, this menu also lets you add a new analysis, but you'll find it easier to start at a data table or graph and click the Analyze button.

Analyze and graph repeated experiments, without programming

You rarely perform an experiment just once - you repeat it to verify results. Prism makes it easy to analyze and graph the data, without having to repeat all the steps. There are several ways to do this:

Clone a graph. Prism duplicates the graph you chose, the data plotted on that graph, and any results sheets that are included on the graph. All you have to do is enter the new data.
Duplicate a family. Duplicate any sheet along with all linked sheets. Then replace the data in the new data tables.
Open a template. Begin, or add to, a project by inserting a saved template, which will include one or more data tables linked to analyses and graphs.
Apply a saved method. Starting from any data table, apply a saved method to analyze and graph the current table just as you analyzed another table earlier.

Templates and methods are older methods that predate cloning. We suggest that you try cloning first, as it is the easiest and quite versatile.
