Key concept: Interpolating

Nonlinear regression can be used for two distinct purposes:

Fit a model to your data to determine best-fit values of parameters. Perhaps you may also want to compare the fits of two alternative models. If this is your goal, then you need to use the full nonlinear regression analysis built-in to Prism and pay attention to many of the results.

Fit a standard curve and interpolate unknowns. The idea of interpolation is simple. You enter standards or knows with both X and Y values. You then enter the unknowns with only a Y value. Prism then finds the point on the curve with that Y value, and tells you the corresponding X value
