Can the Prism installer (and uninstaller) work silently?
Prism can be set up for "Silent" installation, which means that the installer works on its own using the default installation settings.
Note: When the installer is complete, Prism will launch and prompt the user to enter their serial number.
Prism 6 Windows
Use the following parameters for the silent mode:
/S - Silent mode, automatic mode with no user choices
- When the installer for Prism 6 runs in Silent mode, it will not require user input, but it will present a progress dialog. Prism will not launch when the installation is complete.
/X [pathname] - Set default installation folder to pathname
- The default location is: C:\Program Files\GraphPad\Prism 6\
Example:
InstallPrism6 /S /X "C:\graphpad\prism6"
Prism 5 Windows
Use the following parameters for the silent mode:
/S - Silent mode, automatic mode with no user choices
- When the installer for Prism 5 runs in Silent mode, it will present no dialogs or interface, but Prism will launch when the installation is complete.
/X [pathname] - Set default installation folder to pathname
- The default location is: C:\Program Files\GraphPad\Prism 5\
Example:
InstallPrism5 /S /X "C:\graphpad\prism5"
And to uninstall:
"C:\Program Files\GraphPad\Prism 5\Uninst_Prism 5.exe" /
Prism 4 Windows
/SILENT - No user interaction, but they see the progress dialog.
VERYSILENT - No user interaction, and no progress dialog
To override the default installation folder:
/DIR="x:\dirname"
