How to turn off the Windows 7 warning when launching a network license of Prism.

If you purchase a network license of Prism, the Prism application is stored on a shared disk drive ("server") and launched from another computer. If the other computer uses Windows 7, Windows will pop up an alert: "Do you want to run this file?", warning you that the file might be potentially unsafe. This is part of Windows  7 security, and this message comes up whenever you try to launch a program from another computer. Click "Run" to start Prism. Unfortunately, that message comes up every time you launch Prism from a networked drive.

You can get rid of that message by fussing with Windows security settings:

  1. Go to: Control Panel->Network and Internet->Internet Options
  2. Choose the security tab
  3. Select Internet zone
  4. Click the custom level... button
  5. In the tree: choose Miscellaneous->Launching application and unsafe files
  6. Click the "Enable (not secure)" radio button

Of course, by changing the security setting, you will be removing it for all programs, making the computer potentially a bit less secure.
