How can I access my Prism license from home as a result of COVID-19?

We understand that many of our customers worldwide have been impacted as a result of COVID-19 and we are committed to making sure all of you are able to continue accessing your license wherever you may be working. 

Going forward, we wanted to share some additional information on how to best address ongoing challenges based on your specific license type. Please refer to the section below that fits your specific situation.

PERSONAL SUBSCRIPTION LICENSES 

As many of you may be aware, we recently introduced a new feature to your online account page, which allows you to transfer your license to a new computer so long as you are the sole user of the license. If you are currently using both of your allowed activations or if you have an old machine that is no longer in use, the following FAQ provides detailed instructions on the steps needed to deactivate and free up your license so you can install on a new computer. If you haven’t used a second activation and are now working remotely, then you can feel free to go ahead and activate your computer at home as well.

You can log into your online account using the email address and password associated with your subscription.  

 

PERSONAL PERPETUAL LICENSES 

In the event you have a personal perpetual license, you have the option to either activate on a second machine so long as you are the sole user of that computer. Alternatively, if you’ve used both activations and want to transfer your license to a new machine, please contact us at help.graphpad.com with your license information and we can assist you with transferring the license to a new computer.  

 

GROUP LICENSES - USER 

As part of a group license, your license admin ultimately has the ability to provide you with options on how to continue using Prism from a remote or home computer. To get further information about your particular group or institution, please reach out to your admin directly.  If you don’t know your admin’s contact information, please reach out to us at help.graphpad.com and we can provide that information to you.  

 

GROUP LICENSES - ADMIN 

As the admin of a license, GraphPad has provided a few different tools to make sure you can assist your users with moving to a new computer. The following link provides you with information on how to deactivate an old machine as well as reactivate a set number of computers in the event you need to use those machines again in the future as your team’s move back into the office or lab.
