Frequently Asked Questions
How can I get access to Prism Cloud?
In order to publish to Prism Cloud, you need to have access to a Prism Cloud workspace. Currently, only those who are selected to participate in Prism Cloud's Early Access program will have workspaces created for their Prism subscription. You can sign up to join the Early Access program at the bottom of this page.
When will I receive access to Prism Cloud?
To be considered for participation in Prism Cloud's Early Access program, you must first sign up. If you're selected, we will create a workspace associated with your Prism subscription and contact you with additional information about how to get started.
When can I access Prism Cloud if I don't participate in the Early Access program?
Early next year, we'll begin opening up participation to Prism Cloud by creating workspaces for more subscriptions, including those that didn't participate in the Early Access program. Note that only Prism subscriptions will be eligible to get a workspace: perpetual licenses will not be eligible for a Prism Cloud workspace.
How much do I need to pay for Prism Cloud?
There's no additional cost for this workspace, and anyone can sign up for a free Prism Cloud account. You can share your published work with anyone else that has a Prism Cloud account, even if they don't have Prism!
How will Prism Cloud improve my workflow?
Save time and effort by eliminating the need to send emails. Simply publish your project to Prism Cloud and share it instead. You'll receive email notifications whenever your peers share their feedback with you, whenever a published project is shared with you, or whenever you’re mentioned in a discussion comment.
How can I be sure that everyone can see my project?
Because Prism Cloud is web-based, you don't have to worry about whether or not those you're sharing with have Prism. You can share your Prism Cloud project with anyone! And you don't have to worry about trying to copy your Prism graphs into other applications anymore!
How do I make sure everyone has the most up-to-date version of my work?
When you publish updates to your Prism Cloud projects, it's updated for everyone instantly. You don't have to keep track of which version each collaborator has received. Everyone will be on the same page.
How does Prism Cloud enhance team collaboration?
Everyone using the same Prism subscription shares a common Workspace. Each user can publish their projects into shared folders within the workspace so that your team will be able to easily see the work that others are doing… all without having to send a single email.
Are there limits to what I can publish to Prism Cloud?
We have a detailed list of our publication limits for Prism projects. In general, projects cannot contain more than 500 sheets, individual sheets cannot be more than 10 MB, and in total, each project cannot be more than 50 MB.
Are there storage limits for Prism Cloud Workspaces?
The amount of storage available for each Prism Cloud Workspace depends on the size of the associated subscription. The workspace will have 500 MB of storage per seat on the subscription (for example, a workspace for a 10-seat subscription will have a 5 GB storage limit, while a workspace for a 25-seat subscription will have a 12.5 GB storage limit). However, most published Prism projects are smaller than 1 MB so workspaces will have plenty of storage for all of your groups' work.
Is Prism Cloud secure?
Definitely. We adopted modern security standards and best-practices to ensure that your work in Prism Cloud is protected at every step. Our authentication, authorization, permissions, and encryption mechanisms prevent any unauthorized data access. Learn more about Prism Cloud security.
