Can Prism create Receiver-Operator Curves?
Prism 4 and 5 computes and plots receiver-operator curves (ROC). Create a Column data table (which in Prism 4 was called "one grouping variable). Enter values for patients into one columns and value for controls into another, and Prism will create and plot the ROC curve, which show the tradeoff between sensitivity and specificity for various threshold values that could be used to discriminate between normal and abnormal. This is described in detail on pages 122-126 of the Prism 4 Statistics Guide.
Earlier versions of Prism do not compute ROC curves, but if you create the table of sensitivity and specificity yourself, they can plot the curve like any other graphing program.
