Can Prism perform weighted linear regression?

Prism's linear regresson analysis cannot handle differential weighting. However, Prism's nonlinear regression analysis can do weighted regression, and you can fit a straight line using "nonlinear" regression. Follow these steps:

1. From your data table, click Analyze and choose nonlinear regression.
2. Choose the "Polynomial first order (straight line)" equation. This is identical to linear regression.
3. Go to the "weighting" tab (of the nonlinear regression parameters dialog) and choose an appropriate weighting choice for your data.
