Fixed bug: Prism Mac 5.0a crashes when large images are imported using OSX 10.4.
This is a bug that occurs only with:
- OSX 10.4 (Tiger). If you use Leopard (10.5) you won't encounter this problem.
- The image is large. It isn't the size of the file that matters, but (apparently) the width of the image on the page. As far as we know, the critical size is 2.4 inches. Pictures narrower than this import ok, and pictures wider than this can crash Prism 5.0a.
Fixed in 5.0b.
Three alternative ways to work around the problem:
- Make everything smaller (in page size) in the other program, before saving it as an image file. That way the picture imported into Prism will take up less space on the page.
- Upgrade to Leopard
- Instead of importing pictures into Prism to assemble with graphs, bring Prism graphs into another program where you can combine them with pictures.
