GraphPad Prism and MacOS Sierra (10.12)
We support Prism 7 Mac under Sierra. Prism 7.0b runs perfectly as far as we know.
Sierra adds a new feature that works well with Prism 7 and 6.0h: the ability to work with multiple files in a single tabbed window. If you work with more than one Prism file at a time, you'll find this very useful.
We do not support Prism 6 Mac under Sierra, and do not plan any more updates of Prism 6. However, we know of only three very minor problems when you run Prism 6.0h (or 7.0a) under Sierra:
- Graph Titles can be moved in any direction. Prism is supposed to enforce that you can only move closer or further from the axis, but maintain the title as centered. Now you can move it away from being centered.
- Objects on graphs and layouts can be moved outside the page border.
- When you use the "Open a file" portion of the Welcome dialog, as you move the mouse cursor over file names, the text moves a bit and becomes hard a bit distorted, but still readable (you can easily select a file). If you find the movement of the text to be annoying, use File .. Open instead.
We know that Prism 5.0f will launch under Sierra, and it is possible to enter data, make a graph and fit a curve. But we have not done thorough testing it beyond this, and don't plan to.
