How to paste a picture of an Excel worksheet into Prism.

You can select and copy a region within Excel, and paste into Prism. If you paste onto a data table, you'll be pasting values, and you can choose Paste Special to get more choices. If you paste onto a graph or layout, Prism 5 mac pastes a text table, which loses all formatting you created in Excel. Follow these steps to paste a picture that looks exactly like the Excel screen:

  1. Format your data in Excel, and select the relevant region.
  2. Hold Shift and drop the Edit menu. Holding shift is essential.
  3. You'll see a menu command that you otherwise wouldn't see: Copy picture. Select that command.
  4. Go to a Prism graph or layout and paste.
