Prism 9.0.2 Release Notes

Prism 9.0.2 was released on February 16, 2021.

Feature Improvements

• The "Interpret" toolbar button for PCA results now links to the "Analysis Checklist" help page for PCA
• The "Help" button from the "Format Additional Ticks and Grids" dialog now links to the correct page in the User Guide
• The link in the floating note that appeared for the "Before-after with error" example in the Graph Portfolio was fixed
• The reference to "Prism 8" was corrected in the description of the "Method" section in the "Analyze Data" dialog

Analysis Bug Fixes

• (Win) Fixed the issue in which the wrong number of omitted rows appeared in the "Analysis summary" tab of Paired Multiple T-test analysis results when preforming a large number of tests
• (Win) Fixed the issue in which the "Disk or memory error occurred" alert appeared while attempting to perform a Paired Multiple T test analysis if the source Grouped data table contained replicates with many thousands of data points
• (Win) Fixed the issue in which the alert "The Multiple variables data table contains categorical/label variables" appeared unexpectedly when attempting to perform analyses via toolbar buttons for non-multiple variables data tables which contained blank data sets

Graphing Bug Fixes

• Fixed the issue in which no comparison lines from "One-way ANOVA" and "t tests" analyses appeared on Column graphs if the source data table was a Grouped data table with replicate values containing only one row of data
• Fixed the rare inconsistency in links between internal objects within Prism files that made it impossible to add pairwise comparisons on graphs
• Fixed the issue in which comparison lines did not appear for Box and Whiskers graphs if the source data table was formatted as a Grouped data table with error values and contained only one row of data
• Fixed the issue in which comparison lines did not appear for Violin graphs (from the Column graph family) if the source data table was formatted as a Grouped data table with a single row of data
• (Win) Fixed the issue in which the graph title was unexpectedly replaced with the title of an additional tick
• (Win) Fixed the issue in which the "Show Additional Ticks" section of the "Format Axes" dialog was unexpectedly dimmed after the coordinate of the additional tick was set to a value below the automatically determined minimum of he range for the axis
• (Win) Fixed the issue in which no data points appeared on Violin graphs created from the Column graph family if the source data table was formatted as a Grouped data table with error values or single Y values and contained only one row of data
• (Mac) Fixed the issue in which the "Thousands" option in the multiple variable Format Graph dialog was not applied to the format of numbers for fill color legends on bubble plots

Other Bug Fixes

• Fixed the issue in which the Plus, Minus, and Decimal Separator signs entered as single values in a cell were parsed as zeros in data tables
• Fixed the issue in which values entered as "+[numeric value]" in multiple variables data tables were incorrectly identified as text (string) data
• (Win) Fixed the issue in which excessive lagging was observed while drawing, resizing, or moving drawing objects on a graph or layout
• (Win) Fixed the issue in which values starting with "0" without a following decimal separator entered into the data table were incorrectly identified as text (string) data
• (Win) fixed the issue in which blank cells appeared instead of fractional values when pasting or importing data that began with a decimal point (".123456" is now correctly copied as "0.123456")
• (Mac) Fixed the issue in which Prism would freeze on opening a Prism document containing a heat map with a large number of legends
• (Mac) Fixed the issue in which the "Pattern" control appeared shifted down in the "Line of identity" section of the "Format Graph" dialog
• (Mac) Fixed the issue in which the Bubble Plot preview in the "Change Graph Type" dialog appeared with the incorrect color scheme if the "Bubble Size" parameter was set to "Single size" or the "Bubble color" parameter was set to "Single color"
• (Mac) Fixed the inconsistent color legend for Bubble plot preview when selecting the "Single color" option in the "Change Graph Type" dialog
• (Mac) Fixed the issue in which an incorrect item appeared in the "Style" dropdown menu int he "Format Additional Ticks and Grids" dialog after selecting an option other than solid line
• (Mac) Fixed the issue in which it was impossible to set the thickness of quartile lines for violin plots that would differ from the thickness of the median line if the "Line and error go" option was set to "On Top"
• (Mac) Fixed the issue in which the style option in the "Format Pairwise Comparisons" dialog unexpectedly changed to the default after reopening the dialog
• (Mac) Disabled the radio buttons in the "Show additional ticks" section of the "Format Axes" dialog until a tick or line or label was entered in the additional ticks and gridlines section
