Bug: Prism freezes or crashes when copying and pasting data from Excel

A few customers over the years have had a problem where Prism crashses or freezes when they try to paste values from Excel into Prism. In all cases, the problem seems to be the use of a utility that "improves" the clipboard or keyboard. Try disabling any such utility and see if that helps. Two problems we know about:

• In rare instances we've heard of Prism 5 Windows  freezing when large amounts of data are copied and pasted from Excel. This appears to be an issue with the Microsoft Office Clipboard. Here is a workaround that seems to help. After pasting the data into Prism, go back to Excel and click the Office Clipboard tab of the Edit menu. Clear the item from the Office clipboard and Prism should be back to normal.
• Prism 6 Mac will sometimes crash on pasting when Quickeys is installed.
