When I try to launch Prism Mac 5 from a server, I see one of these messages:

• "The application program "Prism" could not be opened, because it is in use."
• "The operation could not be completed. An unexpected error occurred (error code -54)."

These messages can appear in two situations:

• You first launch Prism on the "server" (the computer where it was installed and shared from) and then try to launch it on a remote computer.
• When Prism is first launched remotely on a computer running Mac OS X and then on a computer running Mac OS 8-9.

To work around either problem:

• Quit Prism on all the computers on the network.
• Locate and select the Prism program file.
• Click Command-I to open File Info. (Or choose Get Info from the File menu.)
• Check the option "Locked".
