Why don't mapped drives appear in Prism's File..Open dialog?
Mapped network drives are available only from the user account that has created them -- they are not available to other users (accounts) on the PC. If you are not seeing a mapped drive, it is likely that the mapping was set up when another user account was logged in.
Alternative fixes:
- Log in to an admin Windows user account
- Launch Prism as 'Run as Administrator’, a choice when you right click on Prism.exe
- Recreate the mapping under your account
- Transfer the file to an accessible drive/folder before opening it with Prism.
