Prism 8.4.1 Release Notes

Prism 8.4.1 was released on March 22, 2020.

Analysis Bug Fixes

• Fixed the issue in which the Frequency Distribution analysis results were displayed as all '0' for excluded or empty data sets
• Fixed the issue in which titles unexpectedly became multi-lined in the "Normal QQ plot" tab of the "Normality and Lognormality Tests" analysis results and corresponding graph
• Fixed typos in two equations in the "Gaussian" folder of models in the "Parameters: Nonlinear Regression" dialog
• (Win) Fixed the issue in which the built-in-equation graph preview was missing for the "Michaelis-Menten" equation on the corresponding dialog opened by clicking the "Details" button in the "nonlinear Regression" and "Plot a function" parameters dialogs
• (Win) Fixed the issue in which the Frequency Distribution type unexpectedly changed from regular to cumulative in the analysis parameters dialog after duplicating the results sheet and opening the file in a previous version of Prism
• (Mac) Fixed the issue in which the wrong items appeared in the "Graph type" dropdown in the Frequency Distribution analysis parameters dialog for an empty data set with a column title
• (Mac) Fixed an issue in which Prism would freeze when performing a Frequency Distribution analysis on excluded data with a column title

Graphing Bug Fixes

• When graphing grouped data using the "Symbols (one symbol per row)" appearance option, the median was graphed at the wrong position
• Graphs generated in earlier versions of Prism by the Frequency Distribution analysis appeared incorrect when opening them in version 8.4.0. Graph customizations such as custom colors or changing the appearance of the bars to "Superimposed" was sometimes lost. This has been fixed
• For graphs created by the Frequency Distribution analysis in previous versions of Prism: if the graph type was changed from the default and saved in the previous version, opening this graph in version 8.4.0 would result in the graph being displayed with the original default graph type. This has been fixed
• Fixed the issue in which the "Blank/missing cells" spacing option from the "Graph Settings" tab of the "Format Graph" dialog was not being appropriately applied to the graph
• Fixed the issue in which the Label option was missing in the Format Graph dialog for any Parts of Whole graphs
• (Windows) When graphing violin plots, the height of the violin was incorrect after applying different smoothing options
• (Mac) When graphing column data, the median was graphed at the wrong position after cutting/deleting data from the source data table
